This looks like a GREAT PATTERN! I like how u gave different sized preemie instructions. That is a huge help. I donate caps to local hospital, so these will be great. Can u post an easy bootie pattern of different sizes also? Thank u!
ReplyDeleteThank you Val. I will add booties to my to-do-list.
ReplyDeletewhat is BPdc?
ReplyDeleteBPDC is Double crochet worked Behind the post.
DeleteI love this pattern and the wool is lovely! I'll make some preemie ones to donate. I found the pattern for babies but none for adults and would love to make myself one. Can you post it please?
ReplyDeleteThanks =-)
I am currently trying to make one of these hats. I am new to Crochet so we shall see how badly I mess it up lol. Right now I finished with row 3.. at this point is the circle supposed lay pretty flat or be more bowl shaped? (mine is laying somewhat flat..) I like that the stitches seem to be pretty stretchy too.. I hear that most hats for the micro-preemies are usually not stretchy enough. I couldn't find size 2-super fine so I am using size 3 light baby yarn. Is there a particular brand that carries a soft size 2 yarn? I looked around Michael's and the only size 2 I could find was stretchy sock yarn :/
ReplyDeleteAlso, the NICU does not take any donations of hats made with wool or wool blend (the micro-preemies often have negative reactions to it)
